Who Leads Us

Board of Directors

Officers

The people who steer the association

Weed officers, farmers, ranchers and land managers who do this work in their own counties every day.

Area Directors

One voice from each corner of the state

Directors are elected at the fall area meetings and serve two year terms, so each part of the state has someone to call.

Not sure which area you are in? Area I is the northeast, II the southeast, III the northwest, IV the south central and V the southwest. The full county list is on the About page.

At Large

Industry and government at the table

Two seats are held by directors at large, one from industry and one from government, so the board hears from the people who sell, apply and manage.

How the Board Works

Elected by the members they serve

Any voting member can serve on the board. The 2nd Vice President is elected by written ballot at each annual meeting and plans the next one. The Department of Agriculture names an advisory member, and the immediate past president stays on to advise, without a vote.
